Job Title #2 Quality Assurance 2nd SHIFT Location Hereford Job Description Monitors plant operations of compliance with regulatory and company requirements in the Harvest Dept. QA will be responsible for paperwork he or she is assigned. The tech will monitor the area from pre‑wash up until the gut table and ensure that tags (black, red, yellow) are in place where needed. At each break the tech will change out SRM sterilizers and verify that any contact area is cleaned. The tech will also check equipment after each break. The tech acts as liaison to USDA regulators. Responsibilities Perform environmental sampling of equipment, drains, and raw and finished products. Calibrate thermometers and scales daily. Monitor sanitation SOPs and document SSOPs per the company program. Monitor and document the quality of packaging, raw materials, and finished products. Detect and reject foreign material. Record weights of finished products. Take raw and finished product temperatures. Monitor the physical, chemical, and sensory characteristics of raw and finished products. Generate and complete required records and documentation daily for each product line per customer specifications. Perform HACCP monitoring and verification for all critical control points of the company’s HACCP program. Work alongside USDA and production employees. Monitor and ensure food safety and security. Qualifications High school diploma. Good work history in QA in food processing a plus. Basic math and computer skills, ability to read and analyze process charts, graphs, and logs. Strong analytical and logical problem‑solving skills. HACCP certified (or ability to become certified). #J-18808-Ljbffr
