Senior Process Engineer Waterville Plant 7, OH and Etowah, TN (2 locations) Pay Range $115,300.00 – $158,500.00 per year. Eligible for an incentive bonus. About the Role The Senior Process Engineer in the Engineered Products Innovation and Commercialization team is responsible for delivering key innovation projects and driving improved process productivity through technical advancements. The candidate will become a subject matter expert in our Glass Nonwovens processes, use data analytics to identify areas for improvement, troubleshoot and optimize processes, and apply artificial intelligence tools where appropriate. The role also includes collaborating with cross‑functional teams, leading small capital projects, and serving as a technical resource. Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities Perform continuous analysis to identify areas for improvement and corrective actions. Create and maintain knowledge of the latest technologies and evaluate them for current and future processes. Work closely with internal and external resources to develop new opportunities. Provide leadership for process redesign efforts during rebuilds or major investment projects across divisions. Coach and develop process engineers in the division. Share learnings and findings proactively in the broader technical community. Coordinate with multiple locations, operations, and functions to identify process improvement opportunities. Lead multiple projects and process optimizations in manufacturing operations, potentially across several plants. Provide technical guidance during development, construction, and startup of new technology implementations. May be required to perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related science with a minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial continuous process manufacturing, and 2 years of troubleshooting manufacturing processes. Demonstrated problem‑solving skills, including complex data analysis. Successful history of innovation and adaptability. Results‑oriented, able to lead key projects to successful completion. Advanced knowledge of machine learning techniques for predictive modeling, anomaly detection, and process optimization. Experience developing and deploying data models to support manufacturing process improvements. Proficiency in statistical modeling and multivariate analysis for complex process data. Hands‑on experience with AI/ML frameworks and libraries (e.g., scikit‑learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch). Ability to design and implement data pipelines for real‑time and batch processing of manufacturing data. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong collaboration skills across a broad range of employees and disciplines such as finance, procurement, and project engineering. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, PowerBI. Experience with data analysis tools such as Python, R, and SQL, and capability to clean and process raw data sets. Travel required (approximately 25%, or 60+ days per year). Work environment typical of a manufacturing facility; exposure to environmental conditions of cold, heat, high noise levels, moving mechanical parts, heights, dust, mist, gas, fumes, extensive walking or climbing.
