Are you passionate about animal care and looking for a rewarding part-time opportunity in veterinary medicine? Join our amazing team as our newest Part-Time Kennel Assistant! We are seeking a dependable, compassionate, and hardworking individual who loves caring for pets and thrives in a fast-paced veterinary environment.
As a Part-Time Kennel Assistant, you’ll play an important role in providing exceptional care to our hospitalized patients and boarding pets while supporting our veterinary team in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming facility.
Some of the responsibilities you will own in this role:- Provide daily care for hospitalized patients and boarding pets
- Feed, water, and monitor pets for comfort and well-being alk dogs and assist with exercise and enrichment activities
- Bathe pets and maintain cleanliness and hygiene
- Clean kennels, treatment areas, laundry, and hospital spaces
- Monitor pets for changes in behavior, appetite, or health concerns
- Safely handle dogs and cats of various sizes and temperaments
- Support veterinarians and veterinary technicians as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary hospital environment
- Must have previous animal experience
- Must have sufficient physical strength, mobility, and stamina to lift and/or move heavy pets and objects
- A sense of fun and teamwork – Smiles and laughter are required for all who apply
- Dependable and able to work independently
- The ability to monitor pets for signs of distress or disease
- A willingness to learn and the desire to provide gentle, compassionate care for boarded and hospitalized pets
- References, background checks, and drug testing are required
