Regional Dry van Company driver (W-2) Job in Detroit, MI by HMD Trucking

Requirements

• 1 year of CDL-A OTR experience
• No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years
• No more than 3 moving violations or 3 preventable accidents
• No excessive speeding (over 21 mph) in the last 3 years
• Must be above 23 years old at the time of applying

Vacancy description

Based in Detroit, MI, HMD Trucking runs regional dry‑van lanes throughout the Midwest, including routes operating out of Chicago and nearby hubs. Expect steady, home‑weekly schedules and transparent mileage pay designed to respect your time on the road.

Primary responsibilities:

• Safely operate company dry‑van tractors to pick up and deliver freight on schedule.
• Perform pre‑trip/post‑trip inspections, maintain accurate logbooks and comply with DOT rules.

Requirements:

• Valid CDL-A and a minimum of 12 months verifiable commercial driving experience.

You’ll run regional lanes and return home weekly to maintain balance. HMD provides $0.70 per mile, a $2,500 sign‑on bonus, access to a 500+ modern fleet, and benefits including health coverage and 401(k).
