Legal Coordinator

The Legal Coordinator will support the day-to-day activities and projects of the Legal Department with focus on optimizing the performance of data entry into, and reporting from, Legal Department and Risk Management technology platforms. The Coordinator will understand and interpret current and historical partner employment contracts, and manage all processes related to the partner contract lifecycle. This person will gather data and/or files for responses to requests for information. The Coordinator will support the Legal Operations Supervisor in identifying and implementing improvement opportunities in the department’s processes and technology platforms, and will support staff‑attorney needs with respect to reporting on platform metrics, creating meeting decks based on those metrics, and the like. This role is based in our Tampa Restaurant Support Center and will work a hybrid schedule (three days/week onsite). ESSENTIAL DUTIES Responsible for understanding and interpreting partner employment contracts and partner programs, responding to contract-related inquiries, and managing employment contracts and deadlines for a large volume of partners, to include preparing new contracts and processing renewals, transfers, and terminations Prepare and report on data for employment contracts, risk litigation, and other information requests from various legal function teams Compile, review and distribute regular and ad hoc reports to various business owners, including assembling new reports as identified by business needs Enter and maintain legal holds for litigation matters Prepare and document processes allowing continuous improvement and streamlining efficiency and productivity, updating current process documents as necessary Update and maintain entity management platform GEMS Collaborate and build relationships with cross‑functional teams including HR, accounting, business development, and IT, as well as various other business units Support team members and staff attorneys with performance of administrative matters, as needed, including scanning/filing, mail, calendaring, and scheduling REQUIREMENTS Education: College degree preferred Experience/Skills: 1 to 3 years of experience with data entry processes in‑house or at a law firm (both preferred) Ability to gather data from multiple sources for responses to requests for information Ability to input data with extreme consistency and low error rate Understanding of logistical challenges related to coordinating with cross‑country, multi‑unit business partners Ability to work independently and in a team environment with limited instruction Self‑starter with a strong sense of ownership; proactively takes initiative to identify issues, propose solutions, and drive tasks to completion Ability to manage a high volume of time‑sensitive issues Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, SharePoint, Excel (including VLOOKUP, graphing and pivot tables), Outlook, PowerPoint, OneDrive, Teams Preferred experience in utilizing technology solutions (e.g., Legal Tracker, GEMS, Exterro Data Risk Management Platform, Origami Risk, DocuSign, Workday, Adobe Acrobat) Excellent analytical, proofreading, problem‑solving, organizational and communication skills (verbal and written) with a strong attention to detail Able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and successfully manage multiple deadlines Ability to handle sensitive/confidential information with discretion Essential characteristics include analytical skills, attention to detail, ability to multi‑task and prioritize, and willingness to learn and take on unfamiliar projects Bloomin' Brands offers benefits such as medical, dental, vision, and 401k.
