LDRP Registered Nurse (RN)

This position is for an experienced LDRP OB nurse in a small critical access hospital environment. Responsibilities include triaging, labor, recovery, postpartum care, and newborn care. The ideal candidate will be skilled in providing comprehensive maternity care in a dynamic setting.

Shift Information

• Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)
• Weekends Required: Yes, equally split among staff

Core Responsibilities

• Triage obstetrical patients and provide labor and delivery support.
• Manage recovery and postpartum care for mothers and newborns.
• Utilize Epic for charting and documentation.
• Float between units as needed, assisting with non-patient tasks when appropriate.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in LDRP.
• Experience with the Epic charting system is required.
• Must hold current BLS, NRP, and CLC certifications.
• Ability to circulate for C-sections and perform sterile vaginal exams.

Patient Care Details

• Demographics: Neonates, infants, and adults.
• Daily Census: Approximately 2 patients.
• Unit equipped with wireless fetal monitoring and additional specialized equipment.

Holiday and Time Off Requirements

• Must work at least three designated holidays per contract.
• Winter holidays schedule includes Thanksgiving and Christmas.
• One orientation session required, 24 hours total.

Key Skills

• Labor and Delivery experience.
• Postpartum care proficiency.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills with patients and multidisciplinary teams.
