1st Shift_ Mechanical Assembler I_ Onsite

Role Overview Mechanical Assembler I is an entry level position designed to provide a fundamental understanding of deburring and air grinding operations. The role emphasizes learning, must obtain basic knowledge for deburring and cleaning parts under supervision of a senior Mechanical Assembler with Deburring Certification (level II or above). The operator follows established standard work, submits documentation, and seeks guidance from experienced operators, Lead Technicians, Supervisors, or engineers. Certification targeted within 120 days. What You Will Do Learn how to maintain and operate deburring tools. Read blueprints to verify work completion. Accurately complete production documentation and perform necessary labor transactions. Support and follow all EHS, Quality, and CI rules, guidelines, and standards set by leader and position. Participate in Continuous Improvement and safety related activities. Work under immediate supervision and receive detailed instructions. Develop basic job skills and learn company policies and procedures for routine tasks. Operate hand tools, electrical tools, hand cutters, measuring equipment, and light equipment. Work over 40 hours as scheduled and may be required to work extended shifts, overtime, non‑standard hours, or holiday hours. Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent (e.g., G.E.D.) or vocational/technical education in a related discipline. Basic ability to read and understand technical drawings. Basic computer proficiency (e‑mail, print documents, internet) and ability to learn how to access work instructions. Basic shop math and knowledge of geometric tolerances. Basic proficiency in identifying, analyzing, and resolving problems. Experience with inspection tools and deburring tools (ball burr, flame bit, etc.). Willingness to work non‑standard hours and extended shifts. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of additional inspection tools and operating advanced shop equipment.
