Accounting Technician

This position isresponsible for facilitating accurate processing of accounts payable inaccordance with policies, procedures and standards. ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS Completesaccounts payable cycle weekly. Process all claims for payment usingintegrated accounting system software. Disburses payment, and files all documentsappropriately. Tracks flex fund expenses to ensureindividual amounts do not exceed established limits Track and prepare taxi voucher list andcompare with invoice Assists the finance department when needed Prepares weekly and monthly reports as neededfor the Controller and Finance Director AssistFinance Director and/or Controller with special projects as assigned. May act aspetty cash holder: verify and disburse, flex funds and taxi vouchers. Theemployee must work well under pressure meeting multiple and sometimesconflicting deadlines. The employee shall, at all times, demonstratecooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors. Providescustomer service to internal and external customers and stakeholders. Participatesin the performance improvement processes in the Clinic. Performsother duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES Education/Experience Required: ValidDriver License and ability to pass MVR screening

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to obtain Level 1 Arizona FingerprintClearance Card
• Academic or business training in bookkeeping andaccounting principles
• Some knowledge and familiarity with Windowsapplications/environment
• Ability to enter data using computer keyboard
• Experience using integrated accounting systemsoftware
