Clinical Professor - Respiratory Care Program - Part-Time

This role is responsible for developing, preparing, and delivering instruction across classroom, skills lab, and clinical/field settings, with a primary focus on clinical education. The Respiratory Care (RC) program is an integral part of the Healthcare Pathway at TCC's main campus. As a valued member of the instructional team, the instructor will collaborate closely with students, faculty, staff, and clinical partners to support high-quality, practice-ready learning experiences. This position reports to the Dean of Healthcare and offers a meaningful opportunity to contribute to the preparation of the future respiratory care workforce. Essential Functions Assume responsibility for the teaching-learning process in laboratory and/or clinical settings Plan and implement specialized learning experiences aligned with the instructor's area of expertise within Respiratory Care Supervise and support students during clinical experiences at assigned facilities Evaluate student performance and achievement of clinical outcomes using clinical observations and related written assignments Participate as an engaged member of the instructional team, including attending faculty meetings and collaborating with colleagues Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy educational program Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy Current Washington State licensure as a Respiratory Therapist Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential 3 years of professional experience as a Respiratory Therapist, including experience in intensive care, emergency care, and general care units; experience in a major medical center preferred Must be in good standing with the employing medical facility and respiratory care department Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field Coordination of clinical education in a community-based respiratory care program Experience integrating the computer as a tool to support respiratory care instruction Conditions Of Employment The finalist for this position will be subject to a criminal background check prior to the start of employment.
