– Draw quality blood samples from patients, including pediatric and geriatric populations, ensuring proper technique and safety protocols are followed.

– Prepare specimens for laboratory testing in accordance with established procedures.

– Verify patient demographic information and ensure proper labeling of tubes, including patient initials and signatures post-collection.

– Maintain accurate records and documentation for each specimen collected.

– Create a welcoming and trustworthy atmosphere for patients, explaining procedures clearly and confidently.

– Perform specimen collection and processing duties both in clinical settings such as doctor's offices and patient service centers as needed.

– Adhere to all safety, confidentiality, and compliance policies, promoting a safe and professional environment.

– Demonstrate organizational commitment and a positive image to patients, colleagues, and clients.

– Flexibly cover multiple locations, including weekends, holidays, and overtime, based on staffing needs.

– Strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.

– Ability to perform accurate and error-free work in a fast-paced environment.

– Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain procedures clearly and build rapport with patients.

– Proficiency in keyboard and data entry tasks.

– Capable of handling multiple priorities efficiently.

– High school diploma or equivalent required.

– Phlebotomy certification preferred; medical assistant or paramedic training considered a plus.

– 1-3 years of phlebotomy experience required, preferably including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.

– Previous experience in a Patient Service Center environment is highly desirable.

– Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and a clean driving record are necessary if applicable.

– Travel flexibility and availability to work multiple locations, including weekends, holidays, and on-call hours.

– Medical training in California, Nevada, and Washington is preferred.
