PATIENT SERVICES LEAD (FULL TIME)

Overview We are hiring immediately for a full time PATIENT SERVICES LEAD position. Location: University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital - 1000 South Limestone, Lexington, KY 40536. Note: online applications accepted only. Schedule: Full time schedule. 7:00 am - 7:00 pm three days a week. Half day on Wednesday. Must be able to work every other weekend. More details upon interview. Pay Range: $23.00 per hour to $25.00 per hour. Sign-on bonus: $1000 (perks may apply). Requirement: Patient Dining experience preferred. Responsibilities Oversees systems and processes to ensure that the strategic and operational objectives of the Patient Dining Program service are accomplished. Supervise Patient Dining Associates and ensure they provide services that include helping patients make menu selections, assemble, and deliver/pick-up their meal trays. Work with the caregivers and culinary team to determine menu alternatives for patients with food allergies and sensitivities; cultural, ethnic and religious preferences; or when a patient inquires about additional selections. Interact with nursing and evaluate daily patient meal selection, tray completion, tray delivery and tray retrieval process. Be responsive to patients\' needs at all times. Communicate problems or concerns with patients to appropriate personnel in a timely manner, following department procedures. Assist dietitians, such as helping monitor patients who cannot eat by mouth, are on liquid diets or have a specific calorie count to manage. Adhere to facility confidentiality and the patient\'s rights policy as outlined in the facility\u2019s HIPAA policies and procedures. Comply with regulatory agency standards, including federal, state and JCAHO. Follow HACCP guidelines for meal assembly and distribution. Comply with health and sanitation regulations and department procedures. Complete all required daily, weekly or monthly reports as outlined in Morrison Healthcare policies and procedures. Conduct daily associate team meetings following Morrison\u2019s GR8 Start Meeting guidelines and template. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Ability to communicate and read documents such as safety rules, procedure manuals, and operation and maintenance instructions. Aptitude for operating hospital ADT system and other computer-based systems that manage patient care records. The associate must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, and maneuver/push food delivery carts. Reasonable accommodations available to qualified individuals with disabilities.
