Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Schedule

This position involves working 3 shifts per week, including weekends (EOW). The shift hours are from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery will assess patients' clinical conditions, prioritize and recognize serious situations, and take immediate, appropriate actions. The role involves formulating nursing diagnoses and developing individualized care plans for patients across various stages of life, from neonates to geriatrics.

Responsibilities

• Initiate emergency measures in the absence of a physician.
• Operate and monitor emergency care equipment.
• Administer prescribed medications and therapeutic measures.
• Document observations and nursing interventions accurately.
• Evaluate patient progress and update care plans accordingly.
• Provide guidance to other nursing staff and oversee patient care.
• Maintain and promote a safe, clean, and professional environment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 3 years experience in nursing, specifically in Labor and Delivery.
• Current RN license in New York.
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to meet physical demands, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
