Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – Athena EMR Experience Required

$17.00 - $19.00 per hour (Based on Experience)

Full-Time: Mon-Fri 8am-5pm

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced, professional Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join a busy and well-established specialty medical practice. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical and administrative skills, excellent patient interaction abilities, and hands-on experience using Athena EMR.

This position plays a critical role in supporting physicians and delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
• Obtain and document vital signs and patient histories
• Assist physicians during examinations and procedures
• Accurately document patient information in Athena EMR
• Enter physician orders and referral information
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and families
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality

Required Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of Medical Assistant experience
• Athena EMR experience required
• High School Diploma or GED
• Strong computer and documentation skills
• Excellent communication and patient service skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical office

Preferred Qualifications

• Registry certification preferred
• Women's Health, OB/GYN, or specialty clinic experience preferred
• Experience with insurance authorizations and referrals

Compensation & Benefits

• $17.00 - $19.00 per hour, depending on experience
