School Social Worker

School Social Worker, 1.0 FTE at Jefferson Elementary. Provides developmental and supportive counseling services to early childhood and kindergarten aged students. Consults with teachers and administrators to assist in developing interventions and alternatives to facilitate student's academic performance and emotional adjustment. Liaison between school and home to ensure appropriate transition of students. This position commences on approximately 8/24/26 with the start of the 26-27 school year.

Qualifications: Valid licensure and credentials expected. Successful experience working as a social worker in a school with at-risk students in setting III is highly desirable. Licensed Graduate Social Work preferred (LGSW) or Licensed Social Worker (LSW). Must also have credentials from the Minnesota Department of Education. Bachelor's or Master's degree in social work or chemical health related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. K-12 School Social Work License. Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students, parents, staff and administration.
