Job Summary Lot Operations Specialist II – an individual contributor role at Cox Automotive. Must work at a specified Cox location with a Tuesday–Saturday schedule. Work can be flexible but no remote option is available. Compensation is an hourly base pay rate ranging from $15.10 to $22.69 per hour, varying with location and candidate qualifications. Position may be eligible for additional compensation such as commission and/or an incentive program. Responsibilities Orient and instruct new drivers regarding their job duties and assist the supervisor in assigning and directing employees. Communicate with the supervisor or manager to ensure proper vehicle flow and maintain a log of stock numbers for each vehicle moved and its lot location. Communicate schedules and assignments to crew members. Manage vans and transport drivers to locations; ensure timely pick‑up and drop‑off of employees and vehicles according to schedule. Shuttle employees to and from auxiliary parking lots on sale days and provide transportation to employees parking inventoried vehicles at remote sites. Pick‑up and drop‑off employees and other auction personnel to/from the auction, parking lots, dealerships, customer locations/businesses, and other sites. Perform daily maintenance and routine checks of the van and clean and service the vehicle with fuel, lubricants, and accessories. Demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling related behaviors. Work in cooperation with the Market Safety Manager to support all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence. Work with the manager to review work volumes, plan and continuously monitor staffing levels to ensure efficiency and quality work product, and effective customer service. Review departmental performance against key performance indicators and metrics, and develop and execute strategies for improvement. Lead the team at the location by setting an example in behavior, championing Cox/Manheim values, and ensuring that all employees are treated with respect. Enforce all company policies and procedures related to employee and customer conduct. Perform other duties as assigned by management. May be required to work overtime as business needs dictate. Qualifications Minimum: High School Diploma or GED with at least 3 years of experience in a related field, or an alternative combination such as a higher degree or certification and at least 5 years of experience in a related discipline. Safe driver's required; valid driver's license required. Must be able to work in outdoor weather conditions. Must be able to clear a pre‑employment drug test.
