This role plays a key part in ensuring a positive and welcoming experience for guests by upholding high cleanliness standards throughout the property. Clean and disinfect all assigned public areas (lobby, corridors, elevators, restrooms, etc.) Empty trash receptacles and restock supplies (toilet paper, soap, paper towels) Vacuum carpets and clean hard floor surfaces. Clean glass surfaces, doors, mirrors, and walls. Dust furniture and decorative items in public spaces. Respond promptly to guest or staff requests related to cleanliness. Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate department. Secures and maintains custody of equipment, keys and supplies at all times in order to protect and preserve hotel property. Be able to perform and complete all tasks and duties on the shift in a timely and efficient manner. Always maintain proper etiquette in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner with guests and employees of all levels. All other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by leadership. Experience Previous cleaning or janitorial experience preferred Experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is a plus Knowledge / Skills Must have basic knowledge of general cleaning principles, use of cleaning products and operation of standard cleaning equipment. Must be able to understand and follow verbal/written instructions and communicate both verbally and in writing. Attention to detail. Time management and task prioritization. Professionalism and guest service orientation. Ability to work independently. Physical Demands Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. continually throughout a shift. Must be able to push, pull and move levers, equipment and furniture throughout a shift. Must be able to work with arms raised above head throughout a shift. Must be able to maneuver fully loaded maid cart, weighing up to 50 lbs., through hallways and into/out of closets during entire workday. Mobility - continuous movement throughout hotel. Continuous standing -90% of shift. Climbing stairs, approximately 100 steps 3% of 8 hours. Ladders -approximately 3 feet, 2% of 8 hour shift. No driving required.
