DuPont's Global Procurement team is looking for a Senior Project Buyer – Operating Materials & Services to lead procurement for capital and operational projects across the company.This is a visible role with real influence. You'll be the main procurement contact for capital and site teams and represent the team to internal business groups. You'll also guide other project buyers and work closely with the commodity buy team. Your sourcing, contracting and negotiating will directly affect project cost, schedule and success.What You'll DoShape sourcing strategy from the startBuild and carry out sourcing strategies that fit each project's scope, schedule and budget.Get involved early in the project lifecycle to shape procurement and contracting decisions.Assign projects to other buyers based on buy type and team workload.Lead high-value sourcing and contractingRun the full sourcing process for major packages: RFI/RFP/RFQ, technical and commercial bid evaluation, and award.Structure and negotiate complex contracts (lump-sum, reimbursable, unit-rate and hybrid), balancing risk and value.Design contracting strategies that fit each project's risk profile and current market conditions.Negotiate and deliver measurable valueNegotiate pricing, payment milestones, warranties, liquidated damages, retention and performance guarantees.Drive cost savings, cost avoidance and value engineering without compromising safety, quality or schedule.Manage currency, escalation and commodity-linked pricing on long-duration contracts.Build strong supplier and contractor partnershipsWith the commodity buy team, qualify, evaluate and manage OEMs, fabricators, EPC contractors and engineering firms.Manage supplier performance through expediting, inspection and progress monitoring until delivery.Manage risk and governanceFind and reduce schedule, quality, financial and single-source risks on the critical path.Ensure compliance with capital approval (AFE) processes, delegation of authority, safety rules and regulatory standards.Work across functions and keep leaders informedWork with Engineering, Business, Legal, Finance and Operations to keep procurement in step with project milestones.Prepare executive-ready updates on capital commitments, savings, cash flow and procurement risk using Power BI and Excel.Support project audits, cost forecasting and closeout.What You BringEducation and experienceBachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business or a related technical field5+ years of procurement experienceCPSM and/or PMP certification preferredSkills and strengthsHands-on experience with complex RFx processes, market analysis and creating business valueA track record of developing, implementing and managing complex contractsAdvanced negotiation skills and strong commercial judgmentThe ability to communicate clearly and influence people without direct authorityThe ability to manage several priorities in a fast-moving project environmentHigh ethical standardsJoin our Talent Community to stay connected with us!DuPont is an equal opportunity employer.
