Responsibilities Ensure payment of medical claims using appropriate coding systems such as CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) and ICD-10. Review medical records and documentation to ensure accuracy in billing and coding processes. Verify insurance coverage and eligibility as needed. Follow up on unpaid or denied claims through effective medical collection strategies. Maintain detailed records of billing activities within Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards related to medical billing and coding practices.
