We are seeking a skilled and creative Pastry Cook to join our team at Hacienda Del Sol Resort in Tucson, Arizona. This is a full-time, hourly position. As a Pastry Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and creating a variety of delicious and visually appealing pastries and desserts for our guests. Your creative skills and attention to detail will contribute to the overall dining experience at our resort. Compensation & Benefits: This position offers a competitive hourly pay rate of $17 to $19 per hour, depending on experience. Pastry Cooks also receive additional service charges as part of their compensation.

Responsibilities:

• Create and prepare a variety of pastries and desserts according to recipes and standards set by the Pastry Chef
• Decorate and present pastries and desserts in an aesthetically pleasing manner
• Ensure the quality, taste, and presentation of all pastries and desserts meet our high standards
• Maintain a clean and organized pastry station and kitchen area
• Order and maintain inventory of pastry ingredients and supplies
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to plan and execute special dessert menus for events and weddings
• Assist in training and mentoring new pastry staff members

Requirements:

• Previous pastry cooking experience in a professional kitchen
• Knowledge of various pastry techniques and methods
• Ability to follow recipes and measurements accurately
• Creativity and attention to detail for plating and presentation
• Strong time management and multitasking skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-volume environment
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Culinary education or training is a plus
