$25 - $32 per hourGreen Water & Power, LLC
Company Overview: Established in California in 2013, Green Water and Power has rapidly grew to operate in over 35 states, positioning itself as a leader in the sustainable energy sector. As America's #1 electric vehicle (EV) installer, we take pride in having deployed more than 15,000 EV chargers and completed approximately 5 megawatts (MW) of solar energy projects. As an EVITP (Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Training Program) certified turnkey engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) firm, we leverage our in-house expertise to efficiently manage and execute large-scale projects. Our dedication to sustainability and quality extends beyond project completion; we also provide comprehensive operation and maintenance services to ensure optimal performance for the projects we develop, as well as for third-party installations. Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Concrete Finisher to join our new dedicated Greenfield Construction Team. In this role, you will form, place, and finish the concrete for new electrical services, including equipment pads, charger foundations, sidewalks, curbs, and ADA-accessible parking areas. You will work hand-in-hand with the electrical team to set conduit stub-ups per the design and equipment installation manuals. This position is ideal for a finisher with strong formwork skills and a sharp eye for layout and tolerances. The position will require travel for extended periods of time. Responsibilities: Plan, stake, and string out concrete locations per the design and plans. Set and strip forms for transformer and switchgear pads, charger foundations, sidewalks, curbs, and flatwork. Place and tie rebar, and install anchor bolts, embeds, and bollard sleeves per the plans. Coordinate with the electrician to confirm conduit stub-ups are correctly located and protected before each pour. Verify layout, elevations, and dimensions against the plans prior to placement. Place, consolidate, screed, float, trowel, and apply broom or other specified finishes. Build ADA-compliant sidewalks, ramps, and accessible parking pads to required slopes and dimensions. Apply curing compounds and implement hot- and cold-weather concrete protection. Patch, repair, and restore existing concrete and hardscape. Install bollards, wheel stops, and other site protection features. Assist the construction lead with scheduling concrete deliveries and pump trucks. Support special inspectors with field testing, such as slump tests and cylinder sampling. Maintain company provided tools and equipment in good working order. Cross-train in and support excavation, backfill, and other team tasks as needed. Complete any other assignments and special projects as requested by the construction lead and by management. Adhere to safety requirements and participate in safety meetings. Wear all required and appropriate PPE while on the jobsite. Qualifications and General Requirements: 4-5 years of experience as a concrete finisher on commercial construction projects. Hands-on experience with formwork, rebar placement, and embedded items. Ability to read plans and details and work to required tolerances. Knowledge of concrete placement, finishing, curing, and weather protection practices. Experience in the safe use of hand-held power tools and finishing equipment (power trowels, vibrators, saws). Must have OSHA 10 certification. High School Diploma or GED required. Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation. Strong dedication to safety with a commitment to following safety protocols. Willingness to travel as required. Preferred Qualifications: Prior OSHA training for concrete work. Experience with electrical, telecom, or utility projects, including electrical equipment pads, precast vaults, or utility-standard foundations. Experience with EV charging projects a plus. Travel & Schedule: Travel is required up to 75-100% of the time to greenfield project sites across GWP's operating states. Assignments may last several weeks at a time; overnight and extended stays are expected. Work may follow a rotational schedule with planned time at home between assignments. Company-paid lodging, travel and daily per diem are provided while on assignment. Overtime and weekend work may be necessary to meet project deadlines; flexibility with work hours and extended workdays is required. Competitive pay based on experience, ranging from $25 - $32 per hour. Company-paid lodging, travel pay, and daily per diem while on assignment. Company-provided PPE and specialty tools. Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits package. Retirement savings plan. Paid time off. Paid training and reimbursement for pre-approved and authorized certifications. Opportunities for professional growth and advancement within a rapidly expanding industry. Collaborative and inclusive work environment that values diversity.
