Mission

As our Sales Coordinator, your mission is to serve as a central point of coordination for customer rental needs, equipment availability, contracts, dispatch, and branch communication. You will help turn customer requests into accurate, safe, and timely order fulfillment.

This role also provides an opportunity to develop a broad understanding of the rental business. You will gain exposure to customers, equipment, operations, logistics, service, and sales while building the knowledge and experience that can prepare you for future opportunities in sales and/or management .

What You Will DoCustomer & Rental Support

• Respond to customer inquiries and gather the information needed to fulfill rental requests.
• Prepare and maintain rental contracts, quotes, purchase orders, and supporting records.
• Communicate order status, delivery expectations, and changes clearly.
• Build strong customer relationships while developing an understanding of customer needs and business opportunities.
• Learn how our equipment and services support customers so you can become a knowledgeable resource for both customers and the team.

Operational Coordination

• Coordinate available equipment with operations, service, drivers, and sales representatives.
• Support delivery and pickup scheduling and third-party hauling activity.
• Monitor open orders and follow through until commitments are completed.
• Develop an understanding of branch operations, equipment utilization, logistics, and the overall rental process.
• Work across departments to understand how sales, service, operations, and customer service contribute to the success of the business.

Administrative Accuracy

• Enter and update customer, order, asset, and transaction information in company systems.
• Review documents for completeness and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Maintain organized customer and branch records.
• Take ownership of assigned responsibilities and follow through to ensure work is completed accurately and on time.

Safety & Teamwork

• Support safe equipment selection, transportation planning, and branch procedures.
• Build strong working relationships across sales, service, operations, and customers.
• Ask questions, seek feedback, and take advantage of opportunities to learn from experienced team members.
• Demonstrate accountability, professionalism, and a willingness to step in and help where needed.

To Succeed, You Will Need

• 2+ years of customer service experience in rental, logistics, sales support, industrial equipment, or a related environment.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required.
• Valid TWIC card required where applicable, or the ability to successfully obtain and maintain one.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is a plus.
• Strong customer service, organization, follow-up, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage several active orders and changing priorities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn rental and business systems.
• A self-motivated, growth-oriented mindset and a desire to learn all aspects of the business.
• Initiative to seek out learning opportunities and take ownership of your professional development.
• Willingness to ask questions, learn from others, take on new challenges, and accept increased responsibility as your knowledge grows.
• Interest in developing the customer, operational, business, and leadership skills that can support future growth into sales and/or management roles .
