The Role
We are seeking an accounting clerk to support the accounting and operations team in Northern Michigan. This is an entry-level finance position responsible for ensuring accurate financial documentation
Key Responsibilities
- Record financial transactions and perform data entry into accounting systems.
- Process and review invoices, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Receive and record vouchers, cash, and checks.
- Reconcile accounts and report discrepancies.
- Maintain financial filing systems and organize documents for audits.
- Support Regional Controller with basic reports and reconciliations.
- Use accounting software to process transactions.
- Entering financial data and updating ledgers.
- Reviewing invoices and receipts for accuracy.
- Filing and organizing financial documents.
- Communicating with vendors and internal departments.
What We’re Looking For (Qualifications )
- High school diploma required; associate degree in accounting preferred.
- Knowledge of basic accounting and bookkeeping.
- Proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheets.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
