Senior Tanker Truck Technician

Perform major and minor repairs as an experienced Senior Tanker Truck Technician in Houston, TX. Work on tanker trailers and tractors.

Responsibilities:

• Perform all repairs involving tanker trailers, including some major wreck repair.
• Complete tanker trailer inspections, diagnosis and work estimations.
• Make decisions on when to repair or replace tanker trailer components that prioritize safety and minimize costs.

Skills and qualifications:

• Minimum of four years of tanker technician experience required.
• Associate's degree in diesel technology or related field is preferred.
• Mastery of various diesel technician tools, including hand and power tools, cutting and welding torches, frame and body straightening equipment, etc.
• Able to provide recommendations regarding maintenance and repair decisions.
• Able to provide own tools within 30 days of hire.

• Non-exempt U.S. shop associates working 50% or greater of the daily shift time between 3 p.m. and 5 a.m. local time, receive a $1.50 per hour differential for hours worked.
• Non-exempt U.S. shop associates working weekend hours, receive an additional $0.65 per hour differential for hours worked. (Weekend hours worked between 9pm Friday 5am Monday).
