Looking for a change of scenery and a true leadership opportunity? Plum Creek Animal Medical Center is seeking a Medical Director Veterinarian to lead our established veterinary practice as we enter an exciting new chapter, including overseeing an upcoming hospital remodel that will help shape the future of our veterinary facility.
Our compassion-driven culture promotes medical autonomy, allowing every Veterinarian to practice medicine on their own terms. Through our Partner Track program, this Medical Director opportunity also creates a pathway toward ownership while giving you the flexibility to invest in your veterinary interests and help shape the future of the practice.
Plum Creek Animal Medical Center is a well-established, progressive, fast-paced 3-doctor veterinary practice with a nearby outpatient veterinary clinic. We are proud to be a 25-year AAHA-certified veterinary hospital serving the Crete community.
Located a commutable distance from Chicago, our charming red barn setting offers a peaceful escape from city life while still keeping big-city amenities within easy reach. This Medical Director position offers flexible scheduling, allowing you to enjoy true work-life balance while making a meaningful impact on a growing veterinary hospital.
Our veterinary team provides comprehensive care including wellness and preventive veterinary medicine, illness and urgent care, surgery, dentistry, therapeutic laser therapy, in-house diagnostics, digital full-body and dental radiology, ultrasonography, acupuncture, and medical boarding.
What makes this Medical Director Veterinarian opportunity especially unique is the chance to lead through transformation. Our upcoming veterinary hospital remodel will allow the incoming Medical Director to help guide the vision for our future clinical environment while working alongside an experienced veterinary team.
Our limited-service outpatient clinic also gives every Veterinarian the opportunity for variety while sharing medical records and clients across both locations.

We’re Looking For
- Full time veterinarian- Medical Director
- Compassionate, team player and strong communicator
- Proficient in general medicine and surgery
- Experience preferred but new graduates seeking mentorship are encouraged to apply!

Qualifications- Doctor of Veterinary degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university
- Current DEA License or obtained upon hire
- Active Veterinary State License
- USDA Accreditation or obtained upon hire
Salary Range can vary from $100,000 to $150,000. Determining factor is solely based off experience, qualifications, schedule, compensation structure, and is subjected to change per applicable candidate.
