Now Hiring: Live-In Male Caregiver – Falmouth, Maine ASAP

We are seeking a compassionate, dependable male live-in caregiver to provide one-on-one care for an elderly gentleman in Falmouth, Maine . This is a private-pay, live-in position with a private bedroom provided in a comfortable, non-smoking home.

Schedule

• Live-in position

• Start Date: ASAP

Living Accommodations

• Private bedroom with bed provided

• Full access to kitchen

• Air conditioning and heat

• One friendly dog in the home

• Client sleeps well throughout the night

Care Needs

The client has Lewy Body Dementia , resulting in fluctuating physical abilities. Some days he requires minimal assistance, while on other days he needs more hands-on support, particularly for mobility and fall prevention. He experiences short-term memory loss but is generally alert and pleasant.

Responsibilities include:

• Hands-on personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)

• Assistance with transfers and mobility

• Fall prevention and supervision

• Bathing assistance, including entering/exiting the shower and occasional lower body washing

• Toileting assistance (client is incontinent and wears protective briefs but prefers assistance to the bathroom when possible)

• Dressing support while encouraging independence

• Grooming assistance and setup as needed

• Medication reminders

• Meal preparation (light breakfast and lunch, dinner preparation as needed)

• Light housekeeping

• Laundry and bed linen changes

• Transportation to appointments using the client's vehicle

• Friendly companionship and engaging conversation while respecting the client's independence

Equipment Used

• Wheelchair

• Walker

• Shower safety equipment

• Home elevator between floors

Caregiver Requirements

• Male caregiver REQUIRED

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

• Comfortable driving the client's vehicle

• Must have a reliable personal vehicle for transportation to and from the assignment

• Compassionate, patient, dependable, and professional

• Experience with dementia care and transfers is strongly preferred

Professional Expectations

• Maintain a neat, professional appearance while on duty

• Follow company uniform and identification policies

• Personal cell phone use should be limited to breaks and emergencies while providing care
