Position Details:

Job Title: Senior Software Developer

Duration: 18 months

Remote

Pay Range: $55/hr - $65/hr

About the role:

• We are seeking a well-rounded individual who can collaborate effectively within a team while also working independently when required.
• The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills to support our existing customer base and resolve complex issues, along with excellent communication abilities.

Top (3) required skillsets:

• Languages: Java, TypeScript (node.JS)
• Strong AWS experience, including provisioning and application development across core services (S3, Lambda, Secrets Manager, CloudFront, RDS)
• Integration of on-premises solutions with cloud infrastructure

Nice to have skillsets:

• Experience with LLM development tools such as Cursor
• Leading multiple projects
• Experience or strong understanding of modern software delivery practices, including Agile or Kanban teams and Git-based branching/release models

• You will utilize your strong full web application stack knowledge and solid understanding of technologies from the database to the presentation tier.
• You will leverage AI-assisted development tools (e.g., LLM-based coding assistants and agents) to improve development velocity, code
• quality, and design exploration.
• You will collaborate with other internal and external technical teams to partner and influence support issues and product design.
• You will create a partnership with the product owners to move projects to completion in an efficient, secure manner.
• You will implement and maintain Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Octopus Deploy
• You will work with DevOps to automate software build, test, and deployment processes to achieve faster time-to-market and improved reliability
• You will collaborate with development and operations teams to streamline the CI/CD workflow and ensure smooth integration with version control systems and deployment tools.
• You will monitor and optimize CI/CD pipelines for performance, scalability, and efficiency.
• You will troubleshoot issues related to build failures, deployment errors, and pipeline configuration.

• Knowledge of software development methodologies as required by associated development team.
• Understanding of the agile process.
• Experience with Java, Node.js, and/or other object oriented and procedural programming languages, AWS Platform, REST-APIs, and Data Modeling.
• Familiarity with AI-powered coding assistants and agents (e.g., Cursor or similar tools) and an understanding of their strengths, limitations, and failure modes.
• Knowledge of relational databases and Structured Query Language (SQL).
• Experience with Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) frameworks such as Hibernate.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, including ability to translate technical subject matter to non-technical audiences (both as a speaker and listener).
