Love your job.This Security Manager at Texas Instruments will be responsible for the administrative supervision and operational leadership of the physical security organization. Responsibilities include oversight of security operations, contract guard force management, and the planning and execution of security infrastructure and technology projects. This individual develops, implements, and maintains security policies, procedures, and standards to protect people, assets, facilities, and operations while ensuring compliance with corporate requirements and regulatory obligations.The Security Manager partners cross-functionally with Facilities, ESHS, HR, Legal, IT, and business leadership to proactively identify risk, implement mitigation strategies, and deliver a professional, performance-driven security program. This individual manages, develops, and evaluates personnel and vendors to ensure the efficient, compliant, and cost-effective operation of the function.Core Responsibilities:Lead day-to-day physical security operations including access control, video surveillance, alarm systems, visitor management, key control, and perimeter securityManage contract guard force performance, staffing levels, training standards, post orders, and daily supervisionDevelop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and standard operating guidelinesConduct security risk assessments and vulnerability analyses; develop mitigation plans and track corrective actionsCoordinate emergency response activities and support crisis management and business continuity programsServe as subject matter expert for physical security systems including access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and monitoring platformsLead security infrastructure and technology projects from concept through commissioning, including scope definition, budgeting, scheduling, vendor coordination, testing, and handoff to operationsParticipate in security design reviews and project management for new construction and renovation projects to ensure layered security principles are embedded earlyManage third-party vendors and integrators, including development of SOWs, SLAs, KPIs, performance reviews, and invoice validationMaintain audit readiness and ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and contractual obligationsDevelop and track security metrics including incident trends, response times, guard performance, system uptime, and project milestonesProvide executive-ready reporting and briefings on security risks, incidents, and program performanceIdentify continuous improvement opportunities and implement process enhancements to mature the security programPromote a culture of safety, vigilance, professionalism, and accountabilityTexas Instruments will not sponsor job applicants for visas or work authorization for this position.QualificationsMinimum requirements:Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree2 years managing contract guard services and third-party vendorsDemonstrated experience leading security-related projects (e.g., access control, CCTV, perimeter security, system upgrades, or construction support)Experience conducting investigations and managing incident responseExperience developing and implementing SOPs, post orders, and escalation protocolsWilling and able to be responsive during nights, weekends, and holidays as incidents and operations dictatePreferred qualifications:Degree or certifications in criminal justice, homeland security, intelligence management, risk management, business administration, public administration, or related fieldsWorking knowledge of modern physical security systems, risk assessment methodologies, and security operations best practicesProfessional certification such as CPP, PSP, PMP, or equivalentExperience supporting complex or critical operational environments (manufacturing, data centers, logistics, R&D, corporate campuses, or similar)Experience participating in security design reviews for new construction or major renovationsStrong vendor management experience including SOW development, SLA/KPI oversight, budgeting, and performance auditsExperience building dashboards, metrics, and executive-level reportingDemonstrated ability to drive program maturity and continuous improvement initiativesStrong cross-functional partnership experience with Facilities, ESHS, HR, Legal, and ITAbout the companyWhy TI?Engineer your future.
