We are seeking two dedicated special education professionals for contract roles, working with elementary-aged children in self-contained classrooms with para support. These positions are ideal for passionate educators who excel in delivering individualized instruction and fostering positive, inclusive learning environments.

Position Highlights:

• Start date: As soon as possible; contract runs through May 26, 2027
• 37.5 hours per week, onsite commitment only
• One role supports K-2nd grade students with autism
• One role focuses on a PreK special education caseload
• Both classrooms benefit from paraeducator assistance
• Open to travel professionals and candidates with pending or emergency certifications, as well as those enrolled in Teachers of America or ITeach programs

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education (SPED) license, or eligibility for emergency/pending credentials
• Experience working in self-contained or specialized education settings is preferred
• Strong ability to collaborate with support staff and other educators
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of diverse learners
• Commitment to creating safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environments

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Deliver instruction tailored to the unique learning needs of each student
• Collaborate with classroom paraprofessionals and related service providers
• Regularly communicate with families and multidisciplinary teams
• Promote inclusion, social-emotional growth, and academic achievement
