Company: Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation, West Palm Beach, FL Why Gulfstream Generous paid time off Opportunity to grow your skills and advance your career in aviation What You Will Do Perform structural assembly, fitting, drilling, and riveting operations in a production environment Fabricate, layout, and install sheet metal parts and structural components on aircraft Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and work orders to determine proper assembly sequence and specifications Ensure all assemblies meet quality standards and are defect‑free prior to inspection Use proper tools and equipment including pneumatic drills, riveting guns, countersinks, and reamers Align and assemble parts using fixtures, clamps, and fasteners Perform rework and repairs per DMT, MRR, and PCO requirements Maintain accurate logs and records including MIR sheets and other documentation Support continuous improvement, Lean initiatives, and 5S standards Follow all safety procedures and properly use personal protective equipment Coordinate with team members and leadership to ensure efficient workflow What You Will Bring High School Diploma or GED required 2 years of structural assembly experience Experience with Solumina and Smarteam preferred Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents Basic computer and shop math skills Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship Ability to work with composite materials, adhesives, sealants, and solvents Skilled in using standard structural and sheet metal tools Team‑oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and grow Ability to work any shift Ability to climb, work in confined spaces, and lift up to 50 lbs Strong communication skills in English (read, write, speak, understand) Job Description Safely perform assembly and fitting of detail parts and structures and varied drilling and riveting operations Rekit structural assemblies and parts using all required tools (portable riveting guns, pneumatic guns, pneumatic drills, countersinks, rivet shavers, files, reamers, rivets) Read work orders, blueprints, lofts, sketches and operation sheets to determine sequence of operations, type size and hole pattern for rivets, cut and form plastics and follow standard operating procedures when using adhesives, sealants, and solvents Check all work and ensure a defect‑free assembly prior to final inspection Maintain and use all logs and records (MIR sheets, DMTs, Crabs, PCOs) Align and assemble parts to be riveted using jigs, holding fixtures, pins, clamps, and fasteners; shape and form complex angles and configurations according to blueprint specifications or written/verbal information Make repairs per DMT, MRR, and PCO and perform necessary rework to ensure installations meet conformity Maintain a neat and orderly work area, support the 5S Program, and comply with all safety regulations; use personal protective equipment as required Work with minimal supervision and participate in continuous improvement activities such as Kaizen events Use and maintain company‑provided tools and equipment, returning items to the tool room after use Follow standard operating procedures when operating ground support equipment Properly collect and dispose of waste fuel, oil, hydraulic fluids, de‑icing fluids, and solvent rags Ensure accurate daily job charging to the aircraft Exchange job‑related information and coordinate work activities between shifts through turnover report meetings and direct contact with leadership Assist in maintaining shop equipment and associated JSAs, and support Lean activities Apply Now If you’re ready to bring your skills to a world‑class team and help create and deliver the world’s finest aviation experience, apply today and take the next step in your career with Gulfstream.
