POSITION SUMMARY

Performs all general maintenance, preventative maintenance, repairs, installations, testing and monitoring of the hospital’s electrical

systems and wiring, including high, medium and low voltage systems and communication (voice and data) wiring. Performs other

duties as assigned to assist in achieving overall division and hospital goals. Safety and regulatory compliance are a condition of

employment. May be required to work other shifts as well as rotating schedules and overtime.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE

High school graduate or equivalent. (5) years minimum experience, preferably hospital setting. General knowledge of NEC, NFPA and local code requirements. Previously completed apprenticeship program highly desirable but not required. Participates in orientation and continuing education in order to maintain knowledge and skills related to specific areas of expertise.

SPECIAL EQUIPMENT, SKILLS OR OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Working knowledge and ability to utilize standard electrical testing equipment including but not limited to VOM, ammeters, circuit

tracers, meggers, ground fault detection equipment, etc. Experience with high voltage switch gear, low voltage circuitry, emergency

power systems, UPS power systems and emergency generators. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics.

Pay Range:

$26.10 - $33.95

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.”
