Primary responsibilities:
- Assists the driver with the transportation of students to and from school.
- Assists the students with all safety facets while en-route, as well as the boarding and disembarking, and seatbelts.
- Develop a positive professional relationship with parents, school staff, and students.
- Sits in an area on the vehicle to ensure observation of all passengers at all times & make sure they are following safety rules.
- Assists the driver in reporting bus safety or conducts issues by students.
- Is aware of problems between students and keeping those students separated by assigning seats.
- Evacuate students from vehicle as trained in case of emergency.
- Assists driver with pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Maintains student conduct at all times.
- Ensures students take their belongings as they leave the vehicle.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
- Ability to handle stressful situations.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment background.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
- Clean Background Check and Driving Record.
- Reliable attendance.
- Prior PMT is a plus and may be provided by the district.
- Ability to receive and carry out instructions to perform work.
