Position Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. This role involves planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care tailored to patient needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and assess patient needs to determine care priorities.
• Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized care plans based on initial and ongoing assessments.
• Initiate assessment procedures according to the patient's health issues and medical diagnosis.
• Perform therapeutic nursing interventions effectively.
• Manage overall patient care and ensure appropriate documentation based on established standards.
• Advocate for evidence-based practices and support the integration of innovative care delivery methods.
• Provide patient-centered care consistent with professional nursing practices.
• Fulfill other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in critical care, pre-operative, and Recovery/PACU settings.
• Strong background in telemetry nursing.
• Must hold telemetry certification.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of experience in PACU preferred.

Education

• Required: Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN).
• Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Certifications & Licensure

• Required: NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.
• Required: BLS - AHA Certification.
• Required: ACLS - AHA Certification.
• Required: PALS - AHA Certification.
• Required: Telemetry Certification.

Schedule

This position operates from Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. No weekends or holidays required. The role involves working in interventional radiology, focusing on pre-operative and post-operative patient care, including admission assessments, IV placement, and procedure recovery.
