Tool & Die MakerWith Staff Management | SMX, you'll get a weekly paycheck, learn new skills, meet new people, and work with a great management team in a clean and safe environment. We are seeking a Tool & Die Maker to build, repair, maintain, and troubleshoot tooling, dies, and fixtures used in production. This role works closely with engineering and production teams to support manufacturing operations, improve tooling performance, and ensure quality standards.Pay Rate: $29 - $37/hourShift: 1st & 2nd Shift AvailableDirect Hire | Full-TimePerks & Benefits: Medical / Dental Insurance, 401k, STD /LTDDuties:Build, repair, and maintain tooling, dies, and fixturesRead and interpret blueprints and technical drawingsOperate manual and CNC equipment, including mills, lathes, grinders, and EDM machinesTroubleshoot tooling issues and perform preventive maintenanceUse precision measuring instruments to verify quality and accuracyFollow all safety and quality proceduresPosition Requirements:Tool & Die, machining, or related manufacturing experienceAbility to read blueprints and technical drawingsExperience with manual and CNC machinesStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsExperience with precision measuring toolsCNC programming and print creation experienceWelding experienceAutomotive manufacturing backgroundTechnical training, apprenticeship, or vocational educationRequirements:Background CheckDrug TestMust be at least 18 years oldAble to Lift 30 pounds.Required education: HS Diploma or GED.Work Location: SMX - 0599 - Flex N Gate - Urbana, Urbana, IL 61802Job Types: General Production, Manufacturing, Maintenance, Quality, SafetyIndustry: Manufacturing
