Travel RN – ICU (Night Shift)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Expected 36 hours/week, every other weekend

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 6-bed ICU with patient ratios primarily 2:1, with some 1:1 and 3:1 assignments
• Perform and assist with advanced procedures including central line placements, arterial line placements, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and intubation
• Operate and monitor specialized equipment including Arctic Sun and Continuous EEG systems
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech documentation system
• Float to the ICU overflow unit as needed per facility floating policy
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including nurse techs to deliver high-quality critical care

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in Tennessee or compact state eligibility
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, PALS, and BLS
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills
• Ability to work night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) and every other weekend

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Arctic Sun temperature management systems and Continuous EEG monitoring
• Familiarity with Meditech electronic documentation
• Experience in a high-acuity ICU environment with expanding service lines
