This position works closely with both financial and clinical teams and will offer you the space to create the optimum patient experience.**Responsibilities*** You will assure complete and accurate patient admissions/registrations according to organization policy and procedures and regulatory requirements* You will obtain inpatient bed assignments and processes inpatient admission, to include arm banding, addressograph plate, and completion of necessary forms* You will pre-admit all scheduled inpatient, outpatients and ambulatory patients to facilitate a smooth and speedy admission/registration process* You will obtain direct admit information and enter a reservation in the computer system in order to notify other areas* You will complete comprehensive bedside or telephone interviews with patient, relative, or their representative to obtain pertinent demographic insurance and/or third party liability information* You will perform eligibility verification and resolves any discrepancies, determine need for financial assistance recommendation and application, referring to the Financial Counselor where necessary**Requirements*** Graduate of health vocational program such as patient access, medical assistance, medical billing and insurance or medical general, required* One year of admitting, billing, registration or custom service experience may be considered in lieu of education**About MultiCare Off Campus Emergency Departments** MultiCare’s Off-Campus Emergency Departments provide state-of-the-art, neighborhood-focused ER care across Washington. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $24.88 - $37.85 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education.
