The Gas Certified Technician is responsible for the routine maintenance and operation of the property-wide Central Florida Tourism Oversight District (CFTOD) Natural Gas Utility System. The field service position may include work from elevated platforms and confined spaces throughout the Walt Disney World Parks and Resort property. Responsibilities Conduct system inspections to meet federal and state requirements Routine inspection and maintenance of distribution system piping, valves, metering and pressure reducing stations, odorization equipment, and cathodic protection systems Operate high‑pressure natural gas utility systems Initialize natural gas service to new customers Respond to system emergencies, locate lines, and conduct system leak surveys Interpret system maps and technical drawings Complete required evaluations and testing for Gas Operator Qualification per D.O.T. requirements Lift up to 50 pounds Maintain excellent written and interpersonal communication skills Work proficiently with standard office software programs and mobile electronic devices Qualifications Valid Florida Driver’s License Interpret system maps and technical drawings Complete required evaluations and testing for Gas Operator Qualification per D.O.T. requirements Lift up to 50 pounds Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills Proficiency in standard office software programs and mobile electronic devices Schedule Availability: Our Theme Parks and Resort Hotels operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Schedules and start times are subject to vary. Pay Rate: The pay rate for this role in Florida is $28.45 per hour.
