Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 10H Days Hours per Shift: 10 hours, 0645-1715 Experience: Minimum of 3 years License: Required Certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), PALS (AHA) Must-Have: Strong experience in Operating Room settings Description: This position requires a registered nurse to work in the operating room. The shift is on weekdays from 0645 to 1715. Call is required for weekday nights and weekends. The unit has four rooms including three operating room suites and one procedure room. The number of cases can vary by day; higher volumes are seen on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS are mandatory. Candidates should preferably have previous travel experience but strong candidates without travel background will also be considered. Staffing ratios are generally 1:1 with usually two techs or RNs in each room. Call shifts typically require a 30-minute response time. Holidays are covered by call. Scrubs are provided for staff. The facility has a robust total joint program including hip, knee, and shoulder surgeries. Common cases include general surgeries, cataract procedures, and various surgical interventions. Travelers are welcomed and often receive extensions. Flexibility may be required for additional duties within the scope of the position.
