Electrical Controls Technician

Responsibilities Diagnosing, repairing and testing industrial equipment including power service, motor starters, high/low voltage electrical systems, PLC controls, HMI's, networks (ethernet/IP) and electrical field devices (photo eyes, proxes, encoders, limit switches, etc.) Utilize standard electrical test equipment to perform equipment tests using established procedures and record results. Update and clarify test procedures. Assist in training others to conduct tests properly. Perform preventive maintenance and general maintenance as required on production equipment and facility equipment. Complete assigned work orders and document all tests. Troubleshoot and identify root causes, recommending continuous improvement with cross‑functional teams. Required Qualifications Experience working with outside contractors on miscellaneous installations. Three to five years of plant maintenance experience with electrical certifications desired. Ability to develop control logic, including prints and installation of control wiring, and troubleshoot PLC systems. Proficiency with test equipment such as multimeters. Working knowledge of programmable controllers and AC/DC drives. Industrial control wiring experience. Ability to read and interpret instrument drawings and control schematics. Knowledge of NEC requirements. Must be able to work in cross‑functional teams. Ability to work overtime if needed. Excellent on‑site attendance. Benefits Medical, dental and vision plans.
