Senior Design Manager - Water/Wastewater

Your impact

We are seeking an experienced and collaborative Senior Project/Design Manager to support the management and delivery of water infrastructure projects from our Atlanta office. Our project/design managers lead the scoping, planning, and execution of projects, ensuring both quality and financial performance. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage teams through all phases of project and design planning, execution, and closeout, consistent with Jacobs’ established project delivery processes, to meet scope, schedule, budget, and contract requirements.
• Be accountable for successfully completing projects to the satisfaction of clients and key stakeholders, while ensuring Jacobs’ expectations are met in quality, financial performance, project delivery, and risk management.
• Contribute to the development of the Georgia Water by delivering innovative, technology-driven solutions for our clients.
• Provide staffing and completion forecasts to Group Leaders and Managers of Projects.
• Mentor and support less experienced staff to help them grow into future Project/Design Managers.

Here's what you'll need

• BS or MS Degree in an engineering discipline with a focus on water/wastewater systems and infrastructure.
• Minimum 8-10 years engineering design experience, with at least 3 years managing multidisciplinary design teams and delivering designs in the water/wastewater field.
• PE License in Georgia or ability to obtain within 12 months.

Ideally, you'll also have

• Experience with the design of water treatment plants and/or wastewater treatment plants greater than 20-mgd.
• Demonstrated project experience in the Georgia Water .
• Construction observation/management and field start-up services experience.
• Experience with Alternative Delivery, including Design-Build and/or CMAR.

The base salary range for this position is $150,000.00 to $250,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
