About This Role
The Afternoon PreK Teacher is responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for students in the classroom. The teacher plans and implements developmentally appropriate activities that support the students' cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. The role includes maintaining positive relationships with families, ensuring licensing compliance, and working collaboratively with staff. The position will start part-time with possible opportunities for full-time.
What You'll Do- create a welcoming, safe, inclusive classroom environment
- foster children's independence, creativity, and problem-solving skills
- Maintain daily communication with families
- guide students' behavior using positive behavior techniques
- maintain accurate attendance, assessment, and classroom records
- High School Diploma
- Ability to pass a background check
- Reliable Transportation
- Experience in a childcare setting
- CDA
- CPR, First Aid, Communicable Disease, Child Abuse
