Leasing Consultant

Overview Leasing Consultant – Full time, 40 hours per weekLocation: Durham, NC. Key Responsibilities Deliver exceptional customer service and create a sense of community. Conduct personalized apartment tours and recommend floorplans that meet individual resident needs. Follow up with prospective residents with tailored updates on available units, neighborhood information, and community events. Use social media and outreach campaigns to generate excitement and drive leasing performance. Ensure compliance with fair housing laws and regulations. Assist residents and colleagues to embody AvalonBay’s commitment to a better way to live. Saturday availability required to meet high‑traffic times. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required. 1‑2 years of experience in leasing or customer service, preferably in real estate or property management. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Proficiency with property management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of fair housing laws and regulations.
