Youth Director

Leitchfield United Methodist Church in Leitchfield, Ky is seeking a Youth Director to help lead and nurture the spiritual growth of middle and high school students within our church community. This position focuses on creating a welcoming and supportive environment where youth can deepen their faith, build meaningful relationships, and engage in the life and ministry of the church. It also includes taking our existing small youth group and helping them grow and develop to the next level of discipleship and engagement. Responsibilities include leading youth group gatherings, Bible studies, retreats, mission opportunities, and service projects; recruiting and supporting volunteers; communicating with youth and families; and helping integrate youth into the broader life of the congregation. Qualified applicants should demonstrate a strong Christian faith, a commitment to the ministry of the United Methodist Church, and experience working with youth in ministry, education, or related settings. Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills are preferred. Background check and Safe Sanctuaries training are required.
