Contract (13 or 26-week options) | Nights | 4×12-Hour Shifts (19:00-07:30) | 36 or 48-hour weekly options | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a fast-paced, 45-bed medical/surgical trauma unit serving hemodynamically and medically stable trauma patients admitted from the emergency department, transferred from the ICU, or admitted from surgical/procedural services
• Manage acute and chronic care needs for trauma patients, including administration of IV drips - drip competency is required on all floors
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health record system
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team including CNAs, care techs, transport team, paramedics/swoop, and LPNs (where assigned)
• Float within scope to meet facility staffing needs across various units and campuses as directed
• Adhere to weekend and holiday scheduling requirements: expected 4 weekend shifts per 8 possible in a 4-week period; travelers are expected to work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's windows)

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Nebraska RN state license required; pending license accepted, though confirmed start date may be adjusted if license is not in hand at time of submission)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a large, urban hospital setting; experience at a Level I Academic Medical Center strongly preferred for first-time travelers
• Proficiency with IV drip administration
• EPIC charting experience required
• Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible - local candidates are not accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a trauma or high-acuity medical/surgical environment
• Comfort with high patient ratios (up to 1:6 on nights; 1:7 may occur in rare staffing situations)
• Experience floating across multiple units within a large hospital system
• Familiarity with multi-campus health system workflows
