EPICC Recovery Coach and Peer Specialist

Position Overview The Salvation Army Midland Division Midtown Service and Treatment Center is looking for an EPICC Recovery Coach and Peer Specialist. This full‑time position (40 hours per week, $17.00 per hour) is located at 1 William Booth Drive, O'Fallon, MO 63366. Essential Functions Follow monthly Recovery Coach outreach schedule/plan. Coaches may be required to work some weekends and maintain a flexible schedule to ensure coverage. Provide outreach efforts to individuals who use opioids, motivate them and provide linkage to treatment services in partnership with community‑based referral sources. Coordinate connection to treatment and recovery support services and collaborate with current partners to provide low‑barrier access to long‑term recovery/treatment engagement. Provide overdose education on harm reduction. Accurately document outreaches in the Efforts to Outcomes database and/or other outreach management systems in real time. Follow up with clients and treatment centers to ensure referral completion and client admission. Complete client follow‑ups as needed to keep the client engaged or re‑engage, and update status at two weeks, 30 days, three months, and six months post‑outreach. Participate in EPICC team meetings and meet with EPICC Program Management regularly to debrief shifts, discuss cases and engagement strategies, and ensure proper form completion. Conduct evaluation interviews to assess the client’s treatment needs and develop a treatment plan, including screenings and intakes upon admission to treatment. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent and previous lived experience with substance use. Former consumer of substance use treatment services is a plus. Recovery for a minimum of two years. Must possess Missouri Peer Specialist certification at the time of hire or within 30 days of hire. Must have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and motor vehicle insurance.
