About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Day Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of ICU Acute Care experience required License: Registered Nurse license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute's NCI with Advanced Physical Skills Training course) Must-Have: BSN highly desired; Cerner experience required Description: The ICU is a multidisciplinary unit that provides care for neurological, neuro-surgical, medical, surgical, pulmonary, cardiology, cardiothoracic, and trauma patients. Various types of technology are used to care for and treat critical care patients. This technology includes ventilators, ventriculostomies, cardiac monitors, pulmonary artery catheters, arterial lines, central lines, PICC lines, IABP, ECMO/tandem heart, Impella, BIS monitors, continuous pulse oximetry, continuous renal replacement therapy, gastric tubes, and intravenous infusion pumps. The role fulfills the needs of patients, families, and the community by performing a variety of patient care functions and tasks in accordance with licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements.
