Competitive Salary + Comprehensive Benefits Package Position Overview Seeking an experienced Golf Club Controller to oversee all financial operations, general ledger accounting, month-end closings, and strategic financial planning for a premier golf club in Palm Beach County. Working directly on-site, the Controller will partner with leadership to drive business management strategies, optimize operational workflows, and enhance overall financial performance. The ideal candidate is a hands-on accounting leader with direct, proven experience in the private club or golf industry. All inquiries and applications will be held in the strictness of confidence. Key Responsibilities Oversee all core accounting operations, including General Ledger, A/P, A/R, and cash flow management. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement) in full compliance with GAAP for leadership review. Lead the development and management of the club’s annual operating budget, capital expenditures, and rolling financial forecasts. Execute full-cycle payroll processes, ensuring strict compliance with federal, state, and local labor regulations. Maintain secure employee files and resolve payroll inquiries efficiently. Establish, monitor, and enforce robust internal control systems to safeguard club assets. Coordinate annual external audits, tax preparation, and regulatory filings. Analyze financial trends and operational KPIs to deliver actionable insights, profitability analysis, and cost-containment strategies to senior management. Direct, mentor, and evaluate accounting staff to foster a high-performing, collaborative, and results-driven environment. Qualifications & Requirements Direct accounting or finance leadership experience within a Golf Club or Country Club setting is required. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related business field. Advanced hands-on experience with industry-specific POS/ERP systems (e.g., Jonas Club Software, ClubEssentials, or similar) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables, financial modeling). In-depth knowledge of GAAP, internal control frameworks, financial modeling, and operational accounting methods.
