This position will remain open until a suitable candidate is found.?Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is searching for a qualified Farm & Livestock Assistant for a progressive, diversified agricultural operation located in Nebraska. This is an excellent opportunity for a dependable, self-motivated individual who enjoys production agriculture and wants to become part of a stable, family-oriented operation.?This operation consists of approximately 300 acres of dryland corn and soybean production, 1,700 acres of alfalfa hay, plus finishing hogs. Hay production is a major component of the operation, with four cuttings annually. Hay is primarily put up as small square bales and round bales, along with some large square bale production.?The employer is seeking a versatile individual who enjoys variety in their work and can assist with crop production, haying, livestock care, equipment operation, trucking, and general farm responsibilities. While livestock duties are important, candidates should expect to spend the majority of their time involved in hay production, equipment operation, maintenance, and other farm-related activities. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES? Assist with hay production including mowing, raking, baling, hauling, stacking, and storage. Participate in four annual alfalfa hay cuttings across approximately 1,700 acres. Operate tractors, loaders, trucks, hay equipment, and other agricultural machinery. Assist with corn and soybean production activities including planting and harvest. Help monitor and care for finishing hogs, including routine livestock observations and facility checks. Perform routine equipment maintenance and minor repairs. Assist with trucking, material handling, and general farm operations. Help maintain buildings, equipment, and farm facilities. QUALIFICATIONS? Previous farm and livestock experience preferred. Hay production experience highly desirable. Experience operating modern agricultural equipment. Mechanical aptitude and maintenance experience preferred. CDL or ability to obtain CDL beneficial. Comfortable working around livestock and willing to assist with finishing hogs. Strong work ethic, dependability, and ability to work independently. Positive attitude and willingness to assist wherever needed. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS?
