Available Locations: San Francisco, CA About the role The Customer Advocacy Intern will support the team responsible for building, managing and growing customer marketing programs. Reporting to the Principle, Customer Advocacy Manager, the ideal candidate will be interested in a focus on customer storytelling and scaling customer programs in high growth SaaS companies. What you’ll do You will shadow the Customer Advocacy Manager and work cross functionally with global teams in building customer stories, and scaling customer advocacy programs, including participation with enterprise customers across many industries. You will work with Strategy, Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Product, and Communications. The candidate is an entry level intern who will work closely with the global strategy team. Success is measured by the ability to drive forward efficiently and at the speed of the business, learn how to use AI tools to drive efficiency, and deliver quality content. The main projects are: Customer References: Help support and fulfill sales 1:1 and RFP requests for customer references working with tools and across customer advocacy and account teams Manage/track customer references requests via customer marketing tools Support customer reference requests from key stakeholders across events, campaigns, product, analyst, and public relations teams Customer Advocacy: Help to qualify, develop and maintain a targeted pipeline of strategic customer relationships Help to qualify incoming nominations Contribute to the development of high quality, world‑class customer story content and promotion Advisory Boards and Councils: Shadow the process and contribute to our customer advisory boards/councils Help coordinate across many teams and executives, pre/post event success Responsibilities Collaborate with the Strategy team to develop and execute customer marketing strategies that align with business goals. Support the research, writing, and editing of engaging case studies, internal and external interviews, and other marketing collateral. Learn and support marketing and customer advocacy tech stack. Contribute to planning and brainstorming sessions, bringing creative ideas and new efficiencies using AI to the table. Support the team in analyzing advocacy activity performance and identifying opportunities for improvement. Contribute to monthly and quarterly reporting, including newsletters Desirable Skills, Knowledge, and Experience: Currently pursuing a degree in Journalism, English, Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field. Available for a full-time 12-week internship, working from our San Francisco office 3-5 days a week during the fall (Sep-Dec). Ability to write clearly, concisely, and adaptably for various digital platforms and audiences. Strong research skills and a keen eye for detail. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Curiosity and a proactive approach to learning and problem‑solving. A passion for technology and its impact on the internet is desirable.
