Shift Leader position at Becton Dickinson's Canaan, Connecticut manufacturing facility overseeing daily production operations. The role focuses on safety management, staffing coordination, quality assurance, and team leadership across assigned production lines.
Responsibilities
- Address safety incidents immediately and manage attendance and performance feedback
- Staff and train assigned production lines while executing daily touchpoints aligned with company excellence programs
- Lead Tier 1 production meetings, batch reviews, and coordinate issue resolution including root cause investigations
- Spend 100% time on production floor supporting quality, maintenance, and cross-functional teams
- Manage material documentation, work orders, cycle counts, and ensure accurate quality checks and line documentation
Requirements
- Degree-level qualification or equivalent education and experience combination
- Production floor leadership and team management experience
- Safety and quality compliance knowledge
- Proficiency with work order systems and material tracking
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
