Job Title: Screw Machine Operator Job Description

The Screw Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining automatic and CNC screw machines to manufacture precision metal components according to engineering specifications and quality standards. This role involves reading blueprints, interpreting work instructions, selecting appropriate tooling, performing machine adjustments, and monitoring production runs to ensure parts meet dimensional requirements. The operator will conduct routine quality inspections using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges, troubleshoot machine issues, replace worn tooling, and perform basic preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.

• Set up and operate automatic and CNC screw machines.
• Read blueprints and interpret work instructions.
• Select appropriate tooling and perform machine adjustments.
• Monitor production runs to ensure parts meet dimensional requirements.
• Conduct routine quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Troubleshoot machine issues and replace worn tooling.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chetek, WI.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
